Roaming Service aimed to the frequent traveler, which enables the operator to increase its revenue by providing a novelty service while differencing itself from competitors, attracting more clients with high levels of consumption.

Product description

For those users visiting the network who have Roaming service, the solution developed by IPcom Technologies allows them to also have a local number where they can receive calls. This new service, as all other Roaming services, must be contracted by the subscriber, who pays the home network and in turn, the home network pays the visited network for its use.

Although at first glace this service can be perceived as a cannibalization of the traditional Roaming business, a deeper look reveals that it only impacts on calls made by users of the visited network to the visiting roamer (a small percentage over the total of calls) and, that on the other hand, it allows billing for this service (compensating possible profit loss) and attracting new clients both to the home and visited network, thus both networks obtain a completely new income thanks to these new users.

The HOME solution allows turning visiting users who do not have Roaming service into prepaid users of the visited network without them needing to change their chip or phone. This service is contracted directly with the visited network by the user, without the intervention of the home network.

This service modality allows generating consumption and profits in a situation on which it usually would not be possible, thus achieving an increase of the visited network's revenue.

Applications

GRANT A LOCAL NUMBER TO VISITORS (MT)

  • The visitor keeps his chips with his roaming services, plus he has a local number where he can be called at a low cost (no LDI) and with no MT roaming cost for him.
  • Aimed at users with roaming service (networks with roaming agreement and users with enabled roaming).
  • Additional services: keeping the local number between visits, receive calls to the local number after having left the network, have several different local numbers (one in each country).

TURN A VISITOR INTO A PREPAID (MO/MT)

  • The user can make and receive calls which are billed locally at a lower price than that of a roaming MO/MT.
  • Aimed at roaming users (networks with no roaming agreement and user with disabled roaming).
